February Update

Hello everyone!!

We are well into our new year and I’m FINALLY getting used to saying (and writing) 2020! It seems like time is moving at light speed right now. This semester is going to zip by us….recital is only 4 months away! EEEEK!

SPIRIT WEEK – Spread The LOVE

Our Spread The LOVE Spirit Week is this week – February 11th-14th. Let your dancer express their love by wearing their favorite color! Please make sure they are in dress code, have their hair pulled back & appropriate shoes on. We will be doing a quick coloring activity at the beginning of class.

COSTUMES

We will begin passing out costumes this week. We will have every child try their costume on so that we can see the fit. If there are sizing issues that can be resolved by exchanging with other students, we will try for that. Otherwise, we will need to do an exchange ASAP and it may invlove a rush fee. In order to take the costume home, we require a parent signature so please plan on being in the hallway at the end of class. Also, we ask that you keep the costume in the back of the closet out of reach until it’s time to wear them onstage as it’s impossible to replace a costume the closer we get to show time.

SPRING BREAK

The studio will be closed for our Spring Break from March 14th- March 23rd. Fingers crossed that the weather allows for some fun in the sun!

RECITAL FEE & APPAREL

Reminder that if you are participating in the recital, there is a $20 fee. We will pull this fee with the May tution. Every student participating in the recital will receive a recital t-shirt or tank top. We will be reaching out for sizes in the next couple of months.

RECITAL DATES & PHOTOS

We will be having recital the first week of June. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday June 2nd & 3rd and our show will be on June 4th. Please be sure to have ALL THREE days free as we won’t know the rehearsal schedule until we get closer to June. Photos will take place during our two days of DRESS rehearsal. More details to come…
