Season 2 Update – 8/13
Welcome to our weekly update! From this point forward, I will be attaching any and all important documentation from previous weekly updates. That way all new families have access to the details. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
Thank you for your patience in my reveal of our new location. I have been waiting for our lease to finalize. Although we don’t have it totally complete, I feel confident in letting you in on the news. We are entering a lease with the Missoula County Public Schools & will take over space in the old Cold Springs elementary behind the Walmart on Brooks Street!!! We are so excited for this building because there is a lot of room to grow, fun amenities included & the location is safe & relatively central. Plus, there are a couple other child focused businesses under the same roof & there will be a school bus drop off at the location.
For the month of September, we will be dancing outside on the East side of the building. We will have tents & flooring setup & I am hoping to have Zoom setup by then as well. We are dancing outside for a couple of reasons: 1. To avoid students having to wear masks for as long as possible (social distancing will still be required); 2. To allow more time to finish the renovation inside.
If you are interested in volunteering to help with the renovation, we would love to have you!! I am currently working with MCPS on our plan & will hopefully be able to set things in motion soon. (fingers crossed)
We will be having an Open House on Tuesday – September 25th from 5pm-9pm. This will be by appointment only so that we can limit the interaction. Each appointment will be 20min in length and a total of 3 families per appointment can attend. We will have an outdoor setup for shoe & leotard fittings plus a merchandise table. I am hoping to give tours of the space during this time as well. We will also have a teacher wall setup so that your student can see who they have for class. We have one day of classes in August – Monday the 31st. If your child is enrolled in a Monday class, you will see pro-rated tuition for that single day will be posted to your account on August 15th & pulled on August 20th. This will catch us up in tuition pulls so that we can go back to our normal schedule of posting tuition around the 25th of the month & pulling on the 1st of the following month. I have finalized our protocol in the event that we have an infection in our ranks. Please see the attached chart. We will be vigiliant with symptom checking for both Staff & Students. My number one priority is providing a safe & healthy environment so that our dancers (and their families) can thrive!! Also please see our Covid-19 phased plan as well as our adjusted studio schedule.
