COSTUME WEEK & SPRING SHOW INFO

We hope you are staying warm during this CHILLY weekend!
This is a lengthy email but has a lot of valuable information on costumes & our Spring Show.
This week is Costume Week at Studio M!! So exciting!! This means that the majority of costumes have arrived & we will be handing them out during class. We will take the last 20min of class to have the kids try their costumes on. We will judge the sizing and do any switching around that is necessary to get the entire class the best fit. If we see any sizing issues, we will let you know ASAP. Returns need to be done right away so that we can get the costume in time for the show.
Parents must sign off on the class roster in order for the costume to leave the building. Covid makes this a little tricky as parents are not currently allowed in the building for the entirety of class. Please have one parent enter the building 5min before class is over. You will wait in the hall for the teacher to bring the class roster. As soon as you sign, you are free to take the costume home. Please try the costume on at home immediately. If you see any sizing issues, let us know ASAP. If we don’t know of an issue right away, we won’t be able to help fix it. Tots & Littles parents, we will ask you to assist in trying on costumes.
Each class will receive an email when we are closer to the show that gives you a reminder of shoes, tights & specific hair/makeup. Please note that the following shoes will be needed.
- Tots = Pink Ballet Shoes (with leather soles)
- Littles = Either Pink Ballet Shoes (with leather soles) or Black Tap Shoes
- Combo, Triple Threat & All Jazz Levels = Tan Jazz Shoes
- All Tap Levels = Black Tap Shoes
- All Ballet Levels = Pink Ballet Shoes
- All Hip Hop Levels = Black Sneakers (any brand) or Combat Boots (Hip Hop 4)
- Contemporary = Bare Feet
COSTUME PHOTO WEEK
We will be having our costume photo week May 24th-28th. This week will be considered our dress rehearsal week & will have an alternative schedule. More costume photo information to come…
SPRING SHOW INFO
Our spring show will be held June 1st, 2nd & 3rd. We won’t have an exact schedule until closer to the event when we know what Covid restrictions we will be dealing with. Please be sure to mark all three days off on the calendar for the time being. We will be holding our show in the UC Ballroom at the University of Montana. There is a $20 recital fee for all dancers participating in the show. This fee is due on May 1st & will be charged with May tuition. The fee covers a spring show tank top as well as ‘tuition’ for show week. Spring Show ticket information will be released as soon as we have a better idea of our show format.
