ADULT TAP WORKSHOP
Our first Adult Workshop will start this month! Yay!! Miss Kylie & me are tag teaming this workshop and we can’t wait to get your toes a tappin’ the following Mondays from 7:15pm-8:15pm: November 23rd (the studio will be closed for Fall Break but that isn’t stopping us amazing adults), November 30th, December 7th & December 14th. The workshop is just $70 dollars & makes a great treat for yourself or a present for the adult dancer in your life!
Registration will open Monday the 9th at 12pm!
RECITAL COSTUMES
Believe it or not, we will be ordering Recital Costumes…in the next few weeks!! We have posted each classes costume choice in the studio as well as in the attached document. Your dancers’ class theme will be shared with them soon if it hasn’t already been revealed. WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR ALL OF THE RECITAL FUN!!

Costumes are $80 for Tots, Littles & Combo classes. Costumes are $95 for all other classes. The costume fee includes tights, accessories & embellishments when applicable.
We have a costume re-stocking fee of $20 for any costume that needs to be returned due to sizing issues. There is a $20 late fee per costume for any payments made after November 16th.
COSTUME PAYMENT DEADLINE – Monday- November 16th, 2026
Costumes are a huge endeavor (time, effort & money) but they are so worth it at the end of the year when they shine on stage at our show. Please help us by making sure you sign off on all costumes sizes – NEXT WEEK!!We try to offset the costume payment with monthly tuition which is why the fee isn’t due until November 16th. I know it seems crazy that we have to order so soon, but if you think about it – every studio across the country has their recital at the same time. This is why we need to order early & why there is a $20 charge for late payments. We will begin posting costume fees on your accounts next week & begin ordering costumes during Fall Break! If your dancer is not participating in recital, please let us know ASAP!! Reminder that there are no refunds for costumes.
TEEDLE DEE & TWEEDLE DANCE SPIRIT WEEK & FOOD DRIVE – November 16th-20th
This month’s theme is TWEEDLE DEE & TWEEDLE DANCE which means you should try to find a friend to coordinate your dance gear! It’s also our annual BRING-A-FRIEND WEEK!! If your dancer is a Tot or a Little, they can bring a grownup or a favorite stuffy!! All other classes can bring their bestie as long as all friends deliver a signed waiver to the teacher. We encourage everyone to come dressed as twins in mixed up or matching styles!! Please make sure that the basic dress code rules still apply: hair pulled back, appropriate shoes, no midriff or bottom showing, leggings or shorts if wearing a skirt or dresses. Each class will have a quick craft project to do the last 5 min & our spirit wall will be decorated as usual! 😉
Studio M enjoys being involved in our community, so we have decided to incorporate a food drive with our November Spirit Week again this year! We will donate all canned goods to the Missoula Food Bank at the end of the week. The class that brings the most items will win a cupcake party! Last year we collected well over 200lbs so let’s collect even more this year as so many families are in need!!!

If you are in need of a nude leotard or any dance gear for upcoming shows, please stop by the dance shop & get your orders in ASAP so we can make sure you get them on time! Deadline to order is November 16th.
Be on the lookout for some fun new Studio M merch in the shop just in time for the Holidays! We also sell gift cards for the dancer in your life. 😉
FALL BREAK
Fall Break is coming up! We will be CLOSED for the week of November 23rd-27th. We hope you get some good rest & relaxation during this break & that you can celebrate Thanksgiving! 🙂
GARDEN CITY BALLET’S THE NUTRACKER
One of our favorite Holiday traditions, is the annual community production of the Nutcracker. The show isn’t until December & tickets will go on sale soon! Grab them quick as they typically sell out. You won’t want to miss the plethora of Studio M Stars perform their hearts out on stage in this iconic show!
STUDIO ETIQUETTE REMINDERS
Please be aware of standard dance studio etiquette…
- No street shoes in the dance studios.
- Only water (not sparkling water or flavored water) in the dance studios.
- No gum or food in the dance studios.
- Bathroom visits before class.
- Please be sure that your dancer is not wearing jewelry to class as it could get caught on something and be a safety issue…especially dangly earrings & necklaces. 😉Â
- Please advise your dancer that the dressing room is for preparing for class & that they should use the lobby as their hang out spot between classes.Â
- No running through the studio.Â
- No tumbling through the studio.Â
- Please clean up after yourself & don’t leave the microwave unattended.Â
LOST & FOUND
Our lost & found bins are getting FULL!! We have separated each day out for a more organized presentation. Please check the bins out in the coming weeks as we will be donating all unclaimed lost & found items over Fall Break.
ATTENDANCE & IMPORTANT DATES
Please get in the habit of emailing the studio when your dancer is going to be absent. This way we can communicate to the teacher ahead of time as they prepare for class. 🙂
THERE ARE NO MAKEUP LESSONS. YOU MAY REQUEST THE ZOOM RECORDING FOR UP TO TWO WEEKS AFTER THE MISSED CLASS.

STREET LIGHTS ON STRAND!!
Studio M is located in an area of the City designated as URD 3, which has been identified for future neighborhood improvements. While these improvements are part of the City’s long-term plans, they may take several years to come to fruition. Studio M has made significant efforts to improve lighting on its property. However, improvements along the public roadway, including street lighting and traffic-calming measures, fall under the City’s responsibility. The City welcomes community input regarding traffic safety concerns within the public right-of-way. Sharing feedback and identifying specific areas of concern helps the City understand community needs and prioritize improvements, potentially moving them forward sooner. For Studio M (1140 Strand), the area of focus would be Strand Avenue between Stephens Avenue and Russell Street. PLEASE HELP US PUSH FOR STREET LIGHTS ON STRAND. LATE PAYMENTS
We understand that automatic payments don’t always go through. We will, however, assess a $30 NSF fee if account balances aren’t paid by the 5th business day of the month. We will continue to communicate any issues from our end & appreciate you taking care of them as soon as possible.

- JINGLE HOP: Our annual family choreography challenge is coming up in December! Be prepared to boogie down with your Studio M Star!!
- POLAR EXPRESS SPIRIT WEEK & FAMILY VIEWING WEEK: Our December spirit week & invitation to families to join class via Zoom or for the last 10-15min in person will be December 14th-18th.
